To order a repeat prescription
From 1st July 2024 chemists will no longer be able to reorder repeat prescriptions.
- Use your Patient Services account (Patient Services website).
- Prescription requests can also be emailed directly to this email Repeat.Z00618@gp.hscni.net
- Fill in the right hand side of your prescription and drop it into the post box at our reception desk.
- Post it to Dr Doherty Surgery, 49 Clarendon Street Derry BT48 7ER
We no longer take repeat prescription orders over the telephone
If any item does not appear on the right hand side of your prescription it is not a repeat item and should be ordered at reception as an acute request.
Your prescription will be ready for collection 48 hours after your order has been received. If you are using a local pharmacy to collect your prescription please allow an extra 24 hours. All items should be requested individually. Only order a repeat prescription if you have less than 7 days of medication remaining.
Acute requests for urgent prescriptions must be requested before 12:00 and will be available between 4pm and 5pm. Acute prescription ordered after 12.00 will be ready the following day between 4pm and 5pm

Medication reviews
We have a duty to review your health and medicines regularly. We will let you know if you need to make an appointment for a medication review with either our practice nurses or your doctor.
If you need urgent advice about your medication outside our surgery hours, please call NHS 111.
